The paper presents an analysis of operating currents and torques during self-starting motors with a voltage 6 kV for cases short circuit in the head feeders from main step-down substation to most distant substations mining enterprises. For network under consideration, characteristic modes are: on buses shop substations. industry when selfstarting asynchronous squirrel-cage rotor synchronous startup, current multiplicity will be determined by duration power failure (run-down duration).
